Learning objectives
- Deepen peadagogical practices in Sicences, History and Geography approaches - Critically analyze situations, material and proposals appropriate to Primary School Education - Use innovative strategies for the initial training of students in a globalised practice - Master fundamental notions and concepts for the teaching of Sciences, History and Geography - Use diverse strategies and didactical resources in the context of Primary School Education - Select contents according to the official curriculum and to students development - Use experimental methods as a pedagogical and motivational resource in the classroom - Draw adequate experimental activities to correspondent school years

1. Natural Sciences, History and Geography - from knowledge acquisition to building a scientific/critical spirit; from memory to a responsible citizenship. The Didactics transposition issue. 2. Didactic analysis of contents of Environment Studies 3. The Experimental Teaching of Sciences: drawing experimental activities 4. Portugal History: teaching methodologies 5- Teaching Strategies in Geography

Teaching methodologies (including evalution)

Debates and analysis of situations, materials and didactic proposals for Primary School Education published in scientific papers. Student's participation in practical activities. Conception of strutured activities according to the contens of Primary School Education in an interdisciplinary perspective. Students are evaluated individually on participation in the classroom (25%) and on conceiving and presenting an interdisciplinary work (75%).
