Learning objectives
Meet technological resources, software and hardware, supporting the SEN; Select and use technological resources according to the needs of the child and the goals defined by the professional for the intervention; Create critical and creative thought about technological resources; Master conceptual scientific, technical methodological and practical models of the Braille system and its practice; Know appropriate methods for the promotion of effectiveness of reading and writing and the fundamental characteristics of tactile reading.

Syllabus
Educational technology: concept and theoretical perspectives. Investigate in educational technology. The technology in early intervention. Open and flexible resources. Technological materials: in addition to the computer. The Braille system, description of the characters, Braille writing, Braille reading and tact, advantages and limitations of the Braille system. The Braille alphabet, reading processes, instruments and methods for teaching Braille reading and writing. Practice of the Braille system. Discussion of the identity of the processes of visual reading versus tactile reading

Teaching methodologies (including evalution)

The methodologies used intended to enhance the individual in-depth reflection of themes in this unit, doing the articulation with the personal and professional life of students, their experiences in the field of education and expectations for the future. The aim is to create moments of reflection. The distribution of the types of hours reflects the constructive aspect of evaluation, that involves teachers and students. As this unit will provide contact with effective resources, it is expected that they are experienced the resources very concretely in the educational contexts. Evaluation: a) Written work based on an activity implemented (60%) Planning an activity for a specific context of SEN using one or more technological resources. b) Presence, attendance, participation in presential sessions and engagement (40%).
