Learning objectives
- To master the conceptual models that provide the bases that are necessary to the understanding of the concepts of normal and pathological;
- To understand the various disturbances in order to allow effective collaboration in solving problems in an educational context;
- To plan the screening and intervention, of students with behaviour-related problems, to give them an appropriate attendance.
Syllabus
The normal and the pathological: specific difficulties relating to their delimitation.
Models of non-normality. Contemporary approaches with six major perspectives of deviant behaviour:
1. Medical
2. Psychoanalytical
3. Behavioural
4. Cognitive
5. Humanist
6. Sociocultural
Study of the Disorders in education context:
1. Deficit of Attention and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
2. Autism Spectrum Disorder (PEA)
3. Anxiety Disorders
4. Disruptive, Impulse control and behaviour Disorders
5. Elimination Disorders
6. Eating Disorders
Intervention models in externalized behaviour problems
Teaching methodologies (including evalution)
The moments of expository nature shall constitute starting points for creating spaces for analysis and subsequent reflection of the different themes. We will do the analysis of documents, both individually and in small groups, we will have debates produced by peers and teacher. Students will do an individual work on a previously defined theme and feature it in the class, which will be followed of analysis and discussion, in large group, providing moments of dialogue and sharing.
The assessment involves a written work (50%) and its oral presentation (50%).Essential Bibliography (including ISBN)
