Learning objectives
1-Recognize the value of plastic expression as an artistic educational language Explain the importance of the plastic expression for the development of the aesthetics sensitiveness Characterize the multiple uses of different expressive techniques Express a critic judgment about the different types Characterize different forms of plastic expression 2-Understand the position of art in educational contexts Identify the main purposes of plastic expression Explain the importance of relationship between art and education 3-Experiment the creative process in the area of plastic expression Using the technical , sensitive and aggressive aspects of diversified materials, supports and tools Create and experiment the works production of plastic expression 4-Design pedagogic activities related with art Propose different forms of work and plastic expression according to different ages, delineating activities

Syllabus
I-Art and Education -Project -DBAE -Cognitive/productive appearance -Plastic expression and its educational level -Aims and contents of plastic expression -Planning -Organization of didactic activities and learning processes -Teacher´s attitude II-Artistic Production and Creation -Forms and ways of representation -Materials tools and working support -Techniques of artistic expression in two and three dimensions -Expression of representation -Preparing the work atmosphere -Practical exercises

Teaching methodologies (including evalution)

Theoretical and practical classes joining the active and expositive method, recurring to different strategies namely: Description of contents, debates, viewing and discussion of works with plastic expression, films about cinema players and their processes of work. Some practical works will be done in workshops to test techniques and methods of work Involvement in the debates fulfilled during he classes ( 20% of final evaluation) Theoretical and practical work (60% of final evaluation) Oral presentation of the work previously mentioned ( 20% of the final evaluation) During the classes several questions related with Artistic Education will be posed and later discussed with the students. These will have to do a theoretical and practical work composed by a number of exercises in the area of plastic expression devoted to different ages with due planning. To finish the students will have to submit orally the work to the class.
