Learning objectives
The selected objectives for this CU stand in the communication, information and current events, promotion of the oral communication based on speech types and various contexts, as well as in use of communication techniques. The students will analyse selected texts, produce written texts. The evaluation of oral and written communication is also an essential task in he context of this CU.

Teaching methodologies (including evalution)
The selected methodologies gain shape with expositive-grade classes (T) alternated with presentation of assignments. The individual and collective correction of text and the commentary of extracts, debates, news in diverse communicative formats, will be equally moments to potentiate rhetoric and writing (TP).
The analysis and production of texts of various typologies, as well as the simulation of specific contexts of oral and written production (debate, interview, round-table. . . ) support the intentionality inwritten in the description of this curricular unit's skillset. Classes with supervisioning (OT) will promote the development of writting and oral skills.
The evaluation will be done based on the individual oral production (50%) and a portfolio of written texts (50%), giving privilige, during the lectioning, to activities of rhetoric and writing development, individually and in groups, autonomously and through partaking in classroom proposed tasks.
