School socialisation processes and theories of social reproduction

The institutionalisation of childhood, childhood cultures and the invention of the pupil
Strategies of educational mediation
Teaching methodologies (including evalution)
Students are invited to have theoretical lessons where main concepts and theories are intrioduced, folowed by theoretical-practical moments of discussions of texts, screening of documentaries in order to reflect on proposed issues. Alongside these moments, students are invited to elaborate a group work on a specific content of the curricular unit, using bith aunomous work time and tutorial time in the classroom, supervised by the teacher. Debates, critical readings and documentaries contribute to the acquisition of ciritical analysis of the school institutions that the curricular unit aims to achieve. .
