Learning objectives
- Understand the existence of the various multicultural contexts in global societies. - Take cultural diversity as richness to integrate into society in general. - Recognize intercultural mediation as a critical strategy for the prevention and management of tensions and conflicts. - Understanding intercultural mediation as social intervention instrument favorably enhances the common life and interpersonal relationships of those involved with the use of different techniques and communication approaches. - To acquire the ability to intervene socially in a critical reflexive manner, by applying intercultural mediation strategies aimed at the development of the community.

Critical and holistic concept 3.2. Types: social, preventive, conflict management, family, social pedagogical at workplace 4. Intercultural mediator as professional / Strategies 4.1. Profiles, functions and competences 4.2. Social intervention and community development agent 4.3. Approaches and strategies in intercultural mediation 4.3.1. critical incidents 4.3.2. multifactorial approach 4.3.3. Sociodramas of intercultural mediation 5. Contexts / intervention spaces of intercultural mediation: problematization of real situations of intercultural mediation with participation of professionals / institutions (ACM, MISP, RESMI)

Teaching methodologies (including evalution)

-Lectures; debate; Document analysis; simulation; Group work; Case Studies. In class the syllabus will be worked and developed by analysis and discussion of relevant documents, by tutorial work. Will be presented and discussed case studies (simulations). The student must, in autonomous work, carry out a "report" of the work taking account of the actual material to be specifically noted as well as the bibliography indicated. The work of critical analysis of a real case should be worked by the student (group). The plan of activities will be provided in Learning Roadmap available in Moodle. -Evaluation: in class activities / discussion activities (tests, fora ...) 30%; bibliographic review 30%; simulation / discussion practical case 40%.
