Learning objectives
1. Recognizing the versatility and polymorphism of deviant behavior. 2. Characterize different types of drugs and their effects and relate them to the crime. 3. To know the possible intervention strategies appropriate to each type of deviant problematic.

Syllabus
1. Definition of concepts: a) Normal and pathological b) Deviant and delinquent behavior c) Behavior disturbance 2. Addiction: a) Depressant drugs b) Stimulant drugs c) Disturbing drugs d) New drugs 3. Implications of maternal-fetal of drug abuse 4. Alcoholism 5. Problematic of Homelessness 6. Violence, Abuse and Prostitution 7. Problematic of Prisoners 8. Antisocial behavior, delinquency and crime 9. Relationship between drug use and crime

Teaching methodologies (including evalution)

Will use oral exposure; dialogue teacher / student, reflection and exploration of concepts, critical thinking articles, group work on predefined themes, and thematic presentation followed by discussion for knowledge construction. Form of assessment and percentage: Moment 1 - a written and spoken presentation at the end of the semester (10 points in total 50% of the CU evaluation) Moment 2 - ten individual assignments performed during class or outside the classroom, throughout the semester, consisting in reflections on different materials (eg: discussions that took place in class, movies, articles, open classes with guests, .. .) appealing to critical thinking, the ability to establish relationships with theoretical references and to communicate consistently. Each task is equivalent to 1 point in the final grade of 20 points, and there is no minimum grade required for each one (10 points in total 50% of the course evaluation).
