Learning objectives
Analyze reflexively different theories and concepts that define problems involving educational research issues (reasoned problematic construction); Explain and base methodological research options depending on the study object and subjects participating in research (project design); Build and apply different research and analysis techniques (planning, development and implementation of the project); Write a research report (scientific work); Communicate and argue the main results obtained (scientific presentation of the work); Reveal reflexive capabilities.

Syllabus
1. Research in education: epistemological and methodological assumptions 2. Qualitative and qualitative methodologies 3. Action research in educational contexts 3. The empirical research 3.1. from the introduction of the problem to the hypothesis of research 3.2. Literature review, delimitation of the theoretical problematic and analysis model 4. Procedures for data collection 4.1. Observation in educational contexts 4.2. Inquiry 4.3. Interviews 5. Analysis of results. The use of computer programs for quantitative and qualitative analysis. 6. Writing a scientific report

Teaching methodologies (including evalution)

Presentation, debate, documents analysis, individual/group work, analyis based on observation, problems and reflection. Creation of theoretical-practical reflection space to facilitate trainees ' learning about concepts, perspectives and procedures for conducting investigative work; Autonomous learning through materials of interest to participants; Debate to share knowledge and experiences on methodological issues within the education framework; students' work tutorials. Critical and reflective analysis work resulting from the observation and recording of evidence from practice placements. Students must prepare a research plan on a topic that emerges from the observation and analysis of pedagogical practices. In this plan students have to characterize the context and the variables considered relevant This work will be individual and it will be developed in research report. Written work 75%/Oral presentation 25%
