Critically reflect on man's relationship with the environment. Understand the impact of technological developments on the sustainability of the planet. Select content, strategies and materials suitable for development of ecological awareness. Develop opinions to face the challenges of the future. Create experimentation times as awareness process to environmental problems. Mobilizing critical thinking to find solutions to the planet's sustainability.. Review and develop materials and educational projects in an educational context for environmental sustainability Recognizing how important knowledge is for the responsible exercise of citizenship.

The Earth as a living planet Characteristics of earth materials The planet at risk: reality and alternative proposals Living beings and their relationships Biodiversity in the balance of the planet The man in relationship to the earth Healthy behaviors and practices Technological progress and quality of life Environmental sustainability

Teaching methodologies (including evalution)

From issues / problems / activities of everyday contexts the students research with supervision and think about the scientific concepts involved and their interrelationships. By share their research, students consolidate learning by contributing to the construction of knowledge and the development of critical thinking. They complement learning with laboratory activities and investigative work , reinforcing the methods of science. Assessment methods and their weighting: Individual reflection: 30% Presentation of projects: 70% The presentation of the research on environmental problems with decreased proposals of its impact will be debate in the classroom. The individual reflection must be a continued work with the awareness of position face every challenge before and after performing the research.
