Learning objectives
Understand fundamental concepts and logics for education in natural and social sciences. Analyze critically pedagogical practices in the scope of natural and social sciences in the 1st CEB. Select motivating strategies for the approach of the natural and social sciences. Propose the use of didactic and technological devices in the context of the 1st CEB. Design experimental activities as a pedagogical resource for a globalizing practice in natural and social sciences. Adapt the educational proposals to the diversity of the school population Develop investigative attitudes that correspond to the demands of the teaching-learning process.

Teaching methodologies (including evalution)

The curricular unit is structured in theoretical, theoretical-practical, PL, TC lessons and tutorial guidance, based on active methodologies with the analysis and discussion of scientific papers, pedagogical materials and teaching proposals in Natural and Social Sciences on the 1st CEB. In theoretical classes it will be made the concetual framework, always enhancing, throughout the different sessions in the various typologies, the active participation of students with the operationalization in practical activities. In the PL and TC sessions there will be the possibility of students experimenting the design of structured activities, according to the guidelines for the 1st CEB, in an interdisciplinary perspective. Students are assessed individually for class participation, presentation and discussion of scientific articles (40%), and for the performance and presentation of a didactic or technological device for Natural and Social Sciences teaching in 1st CEB (60%).
